Spring Into Summer Classes!

Exploring Aramaic Teachings of Jesus

Ernest Holmes, the founder of Religious Science and author of the Science of Mind and Spirit textbook, consistently said that Jesus of Nazareth was not the great exception, he was the great example. As we explore the Aramaic Lord’s Prayer, we will get the opportunity to discover the secret that Jesus so plainly knew, made use of, and told us “Greater works than these yee shall do…”

According to the ancient Southeast Asian custom, a student learned from their rabbi or teacher by following in their footsteps and repeating the words and prayers that they used. The study group will read Revelations of the Aramaic Jesus, and Prayers of the Cosmos, both by Neil Douglas-Klotz, and be given opportunities to learn to speak and chant the words of the prayer. We will explore the multiple translations of the Lord’s Prayer that may be possible when one goes back to the original Aramaic roots.

Rev Sally first discovered Oakland Center for Spiritual Living in 2008. Ever the avid student, she jumped right into taking classes, which led her to dive even deeper into practitioner studies, serving at the Oakland Center for Spiritual Living, and subsequently being called to ministry. She was licensed as a minister of Centers for Spiritual Living in January 2020.

Rev Sally served as a staff minister at the Oakland Center for Spiritual Living, until April of 2021, when the call to begin her focus ministry, Consciousness Caravans, reasserted itself. She is currently serving as the Secretary on the Oakland Center Board of Trustees. She believes the greatest power of the Science of Mind and Spirit teaching is its emphasis on empowering individuals to know their spiritual truth of Oneness with God and its sharing of tools, study materials, and spiritual practices to help individuals embody this Truth.
