Facility Use for Events
Oakland Center for Spiritual Living is the perfect venue for your upcoming party, workshop, concert, wedding, memorial, or other event.
Whether you are a seasoned event planning pro or you’re planning your first gathering, putting any event together can be difficult. Weddings, parties, workshops, and other events require things like catering, entertainment, transportation planning, and more important considerations. Perhaps the biggest decision is where to host the event, as the venue likely has the biggest impact on the feel and functionality of the event.
If you’re planning an event in the East Bay, it can be tough to find the perfect place. Luckily, we have the perfect solution in our Spiritual Center. We offer facility rentals for all sorts of events, and our property has everything you need to wow your guests and help them feel welcome.
We are located in the upper Rockridge area of the Oakland Hills at 5000 Clarewood Drive, the Oakland Center for Spiritual Living can be reached using the Broadway exit off of Hwy 24 or the Moraga or Broadway Terrace exit off of Hwy 13.
This easy freeway access makes it a great central location to all of the East Bay.

Parties
We have hosted many parties for various occasions over the years, including birthday parties, company celebrations, anniversaries, and other happy occasions. Our facility is versatile enough to handle large celebrations with over 100 guests or smaller, intimate events. We have different spaces for different events, including our 2,000 square foot social hall for large gatherings and smaller workshop spaces which are perfect for birthday parties and smaller events.
Concerts
We love to host our own concerts regularly and we also open our concert space up for rentals. Because we use our facility for concerts often, it’s set up and ready to go for any type of music. We have sound engineers on staff who can help ensure your concert sounds great, and our Social Hall is large enough to house concerts with many attendees.
Funerals
Planning a funeral to honor a passed loved one is always difficult, but our team is here to help. Our venue is an ideal place to allow people to pay their respects in a welcoming environment. We offer a spiritual setting which is designed to welcome people of all backgrounds, and our facility can be configured to host respectful and functional funerals.
Weddings
Our Center’s Sanctuary and Social Hall are the ideal places for a wedding ceremony and reception. Over the years we have hosted many weddings, and these spaces can be customized and decorated to look exactly the way you want them to for your special day.
Workshops
Because we have spaces ranging in size from classrooms to the Social Hall, we can house workshops of all types and sizes. We have hosted companies holding educational sessions, interest groups discussing their programs, and other workshop-style events in the past, and our Center can cater to your unique needs.

Social Hall
Our Social Hall is our most versatile and popular rental. This warmly lit 40 × 50 ft space features rich hardwood floors, high ceilings, and flexible layouts. It accommodates up to 150 theater-style seating or 100 for sit-down dinners.
Gathering Outside
A peaceful outdoor space perfect for receptions, gatherings, or quiet moments of reflection.
Kitchen
We have a full commercial kitchen that is adjacent to the Social Hall and accommodates preparation for the Social Hall and Sanctuary events.

Parking Lot
Our main parking lot consists of 108 parking spaces, five of which are designated disabled. There is additional street parking on Clarewood Drive, both up and downhill from the Center, about as far as one would care to walk.
